Membership forms and fees 2023
Start your gardening year now by completing and submitting a membership form with the appropriate 2023 fee in cash before, or at, the AGM.
Please note that, as our administrative capacity is limited, you will NOT be sent a reminder. Your membership will lapse if your fee has not been paid by the AGM and your plot will be reallocated. Remember that by completing your annual membership form, you pledge to abide by the gardening community rules.
Annual fees 2022-2023
80 for membership + full plot
40 for membership + half plot
20 for membership without plot.
In addition to these fees, each member contributes €5 a year to support SeedSavers. New members pay a one-off fee of €10 to become a member of the East Clare Community Coop to which the garden community is affiliated.
Workdays Saturday 1 October and Sunday 2 October
Every first Saturday of the month is a gardening community workday. As there is a lot of clearing and tidying to do in the garden at this time of year, and as many members are unable to join in on Saturdays, Sunday 2 October will also be a workday.
AGM Saturday 15 October 1pm
In accordance with our agreement with East Clare Community Coop and licence from Clare County Council, the AGM will be held on Saturday 15 October at 1 pm.
Election of new committee members
Two committee members will be stepping down. Please volunteer if you feel you would be able to serve on the committee.
Fund raising and social gatherings
As mentioned before, fees alone are insufficient to cover maintenance costs, such as fuel and servicing for mowers and strimmers, or to pay for replacing equipment and improvements to the garden. Volunteers to organise fundraising and social events would be much appreciated.
Harvest
Members are still harvesting lots of produce: runner beans, autumn raspberries, peas, tomatoes, courgettes, spring onions, fennel, lettuce, carrots, pumpkins and squash. Dahlias, cosmos, sweet peas, sedum still bloom profusely.
